With 18 years of photography experience, I’ve learned that the best images come from connection, patience, and creating an environment where kids feel safe to be themselves. Whether it’s a shy kindergartener, a high-energy athlete, or a child who needs a little extra time and understanding, I like to meet them exactly where they are.

With a background in nursing, I bring a deep understanding of child development, the different stages and ages of children, and the beautiful unique ways kids experience the world. This perspective allows me to create photo days that feel calm, inclusive, and supportive for every child who steps in front of my camera.

In addition to Steps Photo Co., I also run Stacey Tompkins Photography, where I specialize in branding and family photography. Together, these two sides of my business allow me to blend efficiency with heart — delivering a seamless, positive photo experience while maintaining consistent, high-quality images.
